Shipping & Returns

Returns Policy

We want you to be happy with your purchase, so if you are not, please return it within 14 days of receiving the item.  We will then exchange, or refund at your request, subject to the following conditions: 

  

  • You must take reasonable care of the goods while they are in your possession. 
  • All returns are subject to a 15% restocking charge.
  • Exchanges and refunds will take place after the original purchase is received and inspected.
  • Goods must be returned with original packaging, all accessories, instructions, etc. and must be suitably packed. Any damager or missing items will impact the value of the refund.
  • CDs, DVDs or software will only be accepted if the seal or packaging is intact. 
  • Proof of purchase must be supplied and must be the original purchaser.
  • You must return free gifts supplied with the product. 
  • We will not refund items that have been customized, personalized or specially made to your specification. 
  • If an item is returned incomplete or not in good condition, we will decline to refund or reduce the amount refunded enough to reflect a lower resale value. This includes, but not limited to, marking, engravings, stickers, scratches, dents, damage caused by dropping or mis-use, etc…
  • If you decline to accept delivery of an order dispatched to you, we will reduce the amount refunded enough to reflect the cost of recovering the package/s. 
  • We will not refund postage for items delivered. Customers will bear the direct cost of returning the goods. 

A return address will be provided at the time of an RMA being issued.

You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).

Please only return goods after first contacting us. We will respond to your individual circumstances wherever possible. If a fault occurs after 30 days but within the manufacturer's warranty period, you must deal with the manufacturer directly. No return will be accepted after 30 days. To arrange for the return of your goods, please contact Starfield Optics by email to sales@starfieldoptics.com 


Shipping

We can ship to virtually any address in the world. Note that there are restrictions on some products, and some products cannot be shipped to international destinations.

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.
